Lower Electricity Rates Mean Big Savings for Businesses

As most small business owners in America know, the daily operational costs of running your own company can quickly add up. In addition to startup costs, marketing expenses and equipment, you still need to be able to keep the lights on at your company in order to keep your business surviving in this market.

In fact, for many energy is one of the biggest expenses of running a small business, as reports claim that 35% of small business owners state that energy is one of their top three single greatest operational costs.

 

Arizona power must come from 100% carbon-free sources by 2050, regulators decide

The new regulations require electric utilities to get half their power from renewable energy like solar and wind in 2035. Then in 2050, they would need to supply all customer demand for electricity with either renewables, carbon-free nuclear, or energy-efficiency measures such as subsidizing low-watt lightbulbs or attic insulation for customers.

Supervisors approve steps towards a second solar power project

There is a second solar project planned for eastern La Paz County. At their meeting Nov. 2, the County Board of Supervisors held public hearings and approved three actions for a proposed solar energy project from Eolus North America, Inc.
